Matt is an audio engineer based in Philadelphia, PA. He has been making records since high school, when he realized the Xbox Rock Band microphone could plug into a laptop. He spent his college years experimenting with DIY techniques while drumming in punk band The Dolts. Those recordings, and their occasional failures, taught Matt how to be efficient with time and resources while capturing the band’s live sound and energy. 

After graduating from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Production, Matt spent several years working sound, video, and lighting for corporate and academic events, gaining valuable live show experience that prioritized problem solving, quick thinking, and client satisfaction. 

In 2021 Matt joined the team at Repercussions Studios in South Philadelphia as an engineer and has since spent hundreds of hours recording and mixing sessions with an eclectic group of clients. From local rappers, singers, and bands, to HBO podcasts, to larger acts including Yung Gravy, Dante Bowe and Fontaines D.C. Matt specializes in translating an artist’s unique sound to authentic recordings.
